18         Section 3.  This act shall take effect on the effective

19  date of CS/HB 3255 or other similar legislation enacted in the

20  1998 Regular Session of the Legislature, relating to funding

21  for Crime Stoppers programs, and shall not take effect if that

22  legislation does not become a law.
