11  The Committee on Governmental Rules & Regulations offered the

12  following:

14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 49, between lines 26 & 27, of the bill

16

17  insert:

18         Section 21.  Subsection (3) is added to section

19  394.4574, Florida Statutes, to read:

20         394.4574  Department responsibilities for a mental

21  health resident who resides in an assisted living facility

22  that holds a limited mental health license.--

23         (3)  The secretary of the department shall require each

24  district administrator to develop, with community input,

25  detailed plans that demonstrate how the district will ensure

26  the provision of state-funded mental health and substance

27  abuse services to residents of an assisted living facility

28  that holds a limited mental health license. These plans shall

29  address the following: case management services; access to

30  consumer-operated drop-in centers; access to services during

31  the evenings, weekends, and holidays; supervision of the

 1  clinical needs of the residents; access to emergency care;

 2  access to appropriate transportation for emergencies,

 3  after-hours activities, medical appointments, and recreational

 4  opportunities; and access to other services that improve the

 5  quality of care for mental health residents in assisted living

 6  facilities.

13  after the semicolon, insert:

14         amending s. 394.4574, F.S.; providing for

15         certain access to services for mental health
