2 An act relating to the Historic Pensacola
3 Preservation Board of Trustees; amending s.
4 266.0015, F.S.; deleting the requirement that
5 moneys from admissions to and rental of
6 facilities and properties of the board be
7 deposited into the board's operating trust
8 fund; amending s. 266.0018, F.S.; providing for
9 depositing such moneys into an account of the
10 board's direct-support organization; providing
11 an effective date.

13 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15 Section 1. Section 266.0015, Florida Statutes, is
16 amended to read:
17 266.0015 Treasurer; finances.--
18 (1) The Treasurer is the ex officio treasurer of the
19 board and has the custody of all its funds, which must be kept
20 in a special account. All receipts and disbursements of the
21 board must be handled subject to the same laws and rules as
22 other state funds are handled.
23 (2) All moneys received from admissions to and rentals
24 of facilities and properties managed by the board must be
25 deposited by the board into the Historic Pensacola
26 Preservation Board Operating Trust Fund and are subject to
27 annual appropriation by the Legislature for the benefit of the
28 board. All interest earned by the trust fund must be
29 deposited into the trust fund.
30 Section 2. Subsection (6) of section 266.0018, Florida
31 Statutes, is amended to read:

1 266.0018 Direct-support organization.--
2 (6) Any moneys, except moneys received from admissions
3 to and rentals of facilities and properties managed by the
4 board, may be held in a separate depository account in the
5 name of the direct-support organization and subject to the
6 provisions of the contract with the board. Such moneys may
7 include lease income, admissions income, membership fees,
8 private donations, income derived from fundraising activities,
9 and grants applied for and received by the direct-support
10 organization.
11 Section 3. This act shall take effect July 1, 1998.

14 SENATE SUMMARY
15 Provides for the deposit of moneys received by the
Historic Pensacola Preservation Board of Trustees for
16 admissions to or rentals of facilities or property of the
board to be deposited into an account of the board's
17 direct-support organization instead of the board's
operating trust fund.
