  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Beverage Law; amending

  3         s. 562.11, F.S.; providing that the provisions

  4         of this chapter shall not apply to a person who

  5         gives or causes to be given any alcoholic

  6         beverage to a student under a certain age under

  7         certain circumstances; providing that the

  8         provisions of this chapter shall not apply to a

  9         student who receives such alcoholic beverages

10         under certain circumstances; providing an

11         effective date.

13  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

15         Section 1.  Subsection (4) is added to section 562.11,

16  Florida Statutes, to read:

17         562.11  Selling, giving, or serving alcoholic beverages

18  to person under age 21; misrepresenting or misstating age or

19  age of another to induce licensee to serve alcoholic beverages

20  to person under 21; penalties.--

21         (4)  The provisions of this section and the provisions

22  of this chapter shall not apply to a person who gives or

23  causes to be given any alcoholic beverage to a student under

24  the age of 21 years, nor shall such provisions apply to any

25  student who receives such alcoholic beverage, if such beverage

26  is delivered in a curriculum at any accredited college in

27  which the student is required to taste or imbibe alcoholic

28  beverages in courses which are part of the required

29  curriculum, provided such alcoholic beverages are used only

30  for instructional purposes during classes conducted pursuant

31  to such curriculum.

  1         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

  2  law.

      Provides that the provisions of ch. 562, F.S., relating
  7    to the enforcement of the Beverage Law, shall not apply
      to a person who gives or causes to be given any alcoholic
  8    beverage to a student under 21 years of age, nor shall
      such provisions apply to any student who receives any
  9    alcoholic beverage if such beverage is delivered in a
      curriculum at any accredited college in which the student
10    is required to taste or imbibe alcoholic beverages in
      courses which are part of the required curriculum,
11    provided such alcoholic beverages are used only for
      instructional purposes during classes conducted pursuant
12    to such curriculum.
