11  Senator Bronson moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 1, lines 13-20, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         (11)(a)  Any prisoner in a county or municipal

18  detention facility who knowingly and willfully refuses on

19  three or more occasions to obey or comply with any rule

20  governing the conduct of prisoners commits a misdemeanor of

21  the second degree, punishable as provided in s. 775.082 or s.

22  775.083. Such punishment must be in addition to any sentence

23  he or she may be serving. A prisoner may be charged with,

24  convicted of, and sentenced for a violation of this subsection

25  in addition to any other criminal offense committed while

26  detained in a county or municipal detention facility.

27         (b)  Upon a prisoner's classification in a county or

28  municipal detention facility, he or she must be provided with

29  a printed copy of the rules governing the conduct of

30  prisoners. Translation assistance must be provided, as needed.

31         (c)  As used in this subsection, the term "rules

 1  governing the conduct of prisoners" means any of the rules

 2  relating to order and discipline provided in the Florida Model

 3  Jail Standards, adopted pursuant to subsection (4) and

 4  effective on October 1, 1997.

 9         On page 1, line 4, delete the words "and regulations;"
