11  The Committee on General Government Appropriations offered the

12  following:

15         On page 10, lines 7 through 31,

16  remove Section 2 from the bill:

18  and insert in lieu thereof:

19         Section 2.  Subsection (8) of Section 373.421, Florida

20  Statutes, is created to read:

21         (8)  Whenever a survey or certified survey of

22  delineated wetland boundaries is required for any purpose

23  pursuant to this chapter, the survey may be performed by

24  conventional methods of land surveying or by use of a Global

25  Positioning System (GPS).  When a GPS is used in the survey,

26  the equipment must provide for submeter or better accuracy and

27  be operated by or under the supervision of a registered land

28  surveyor licensed in the State of Florida.  Presence of the

29  registered surveyor's seal and signature shall constitute

30  proof that the survey was conducted by or under the

31  supervision of a registered land surveyor licensed in Florida.
