11  The Committee on General Government Appropriations offered the

14         Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 1, between lines 23 and 24 of the bill,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 2.  Paragraph (a) of subsection (5) of section

19  212.08, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:

20         (5)  EXEMPTIONS; ACCOUNT OF USE.--

21         (a)  Items in agricultural use and certain nets.--There

22  are exempt from the tax imposed by this chapter nets designed

23  and used exclusively by commercial fisheries; fertilizers,

24  insecticides, herbicides, and fungicides used for application

25  on crops or groves; portable containers used for processing

26  farm products; field and garden seeds; nursery stock,

27  seedlings, cuttings, or other propagative material purchased

28  for growing stock; cloth, plastic, and other similar materials

29  used for shade, mulch, or protection from frost or insects on

30  a farm; generators used on poultry farms; and liquefied

31  petroleum gas or other fuel used to heat a structure in which

 2  exemption shall not be allowed unless the purchaser or lessee

 3  signs a certificate stating that the item to be exempted is

 4  for the exclusive use designated herein.
