3 216.0172, F.S.; providing for the submission of
4 certain performance-based program budgets by
5 the Department of Education; providing an
6 effective date.

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Subsection (7) of section 216.0172, Florida
11 Statutes, is amended to read:
12 216.0172 Schedule for submission of performance-based
13 program budgets.--In order to implement the provisions of
14 chapter 94-249, Laws of Florida, state agencies shall submit
15 performance-based program budgets for programs approved
16 pursuant to s. 216.0166 to the Executive Office of the
17 Governor and the Legislature based on the following schedule:
18 (7) By September 1, 2000, for the 2001-2002 fiscal
19 year, by the following:
20 (a) Department of Citrus.
21 (b) Department of Community Affairs.
22 (c) Department of Education (Programs other than those
23 specified in subsections (2), (3), and (4)).
24 (d)(c) Department of Insurance.
25 (e)(d) Department of Veterans' Affairs.
26 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1 of the
27 year in which enacted.
