24 44 in Citrus County as the "Burton R. Quinn
25 Memorial Highway"; designating an overpass
26 bridge in New Smyrna Beach as the "Martin
27 Luther King, Jr., Bridge"; designating "Yitzhak
28 Rabin Boulevard" in Dade County; designating
29 State Road 12 in Gadsden County as the "Florida
30 Arts Trail"; providing for the effect of such
31 designations; directing the Department of

5 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

7 Section 1. Lolo Villalobos Way designated; markers.--
8 (1) State Road 972 (Coral Way) from S.W. 22nd Avenue
9 to S.W. 25th Avenue in Dade County is hereby designated as the
10 "Lolo Villalobos Way."
11 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
12 erect suitable markers designating Lolo Villalobos Way as
13 described in subsection (1).
14 Section 2. Brittan Alexander Bridge; Department of
15 Transportation to erect suitable markers.--
16 (1) Bridge number 020026 over the Withlacoochee River
17 near Dunnellon on State Road 45(US 41) is hereby designated as
18 the "Brittan Alexander Bridge."
19 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
20 erect suitable markers designating the "Brittan Alexander
21 Bridge" as described in subsection (1).
22 Section 3. Brownsville Commercial District designated;
23 markers.--
24 (1) State Road 9 (N.W. 27 Avenue) from N.W. 50 Street
25 to N.W. 58 Street and N.W. 54th Street from N.W. 23 Avenue to
26 N.W. 31 Avenue, is hereby designated as the "Brownsville
27 Commercial District."
28 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
29 erect suitable markers designating the Brownsville Commercial
30 District as described in subsection (1).
31 Section 4. Aventura Parkway designated; markers.--

1 (1) State Road 5 (Biscayne Boulevard) within the
2 municipal limits of the City of Aventura in Dade County is
3 hereby designated as the "Aventura Parkway."
4 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
5 erect suitable markers designating the Aventura Parkway as
6 described in subsection (1).
7 Section 5. Whatley Memorial Overpass designated;
8 markers.--
9 (1) The overpass located at the interchange being
10 constructed by the Jacksonville Transportation Authority at
11 Butler Boulevard and State Road A1A in Jacksonville is hereby
12 designated as the "Whatley Memorial Overpass."
13 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
14 erect suitable markers designating the Whatley Memorial
15 Overpass as described in subsection (1).
16 Section 6. W.S. Badcock Boulevard designated;
17 markers.--
18 (1) State Road 37 from State Road 60 (mile marker
19 18.179) to Main Street (mile marker 28.647) in Lakeland is
20 hereby designated as the "W.S. Badcock Boulevard."
21 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
22 erect suitable markers designating the W.S. Badcock Boulevard
23 as described in subsection (1).
24 Section 7. "Burton R. Quinn Memorial Highway"
25 designated; markers.--
26 (1) That portion of State Road 44 beginning at the
27 intersection of State Road 44 and U.S. Highway 41 (mile post
28 16.731) West to South Croft Avenue (mile post 13.564) in
29 Citrus County is hereby designated as the "Burton R. Quinn
30 Memorial Highway."

1 (2) The Department of Transportation is hereby
2 directed to erect suitable markers designating the "Burton R.
3 Quinn Memorial Highway" as described in subsection (1).
4 Section 8. Martin Luther King, Jr., Bridge designated;
5 markers.--
6 (1) The State Road 44/U.S. overpass bridge in New
7 Smyrna Beach is hereby designated as the "Martin Luther King,
8 Jr., Bridge."
9 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
10 erect suitable markers designating the "Martin Luther King,
11 Jr., Bridge" as described in subsection (1) in the following
12 manner:
13 (a) One sign shall be located on the southwest side of
14 the bridge.
15 (b) One sign shall be located on the northeast side of
16 the bridge.
17 (c) Two signs shall be located on the outside facing
18 of the bridge on the south and north sides of the bridge in
19 such a manner as to provide visibility for the northbound and
20 southbound lanes of U.S. 1.
21 Section 9. Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard designated.--
22 (1) That portion of Biscayne Boulevard between N.E.
23 1st Street and N.E. 2nd Street in Dade County is designated as
24 Yitzhak Rabin Boulevard.
25 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
26 erect suitable markers designating the "Yitzhak Rabin
27 Boulevard" as described in subsection (1).
28 Section 10. Florida Arts Trail designated; markers.--
29 (1) State Road 12 in Gadsden County is hereby
30 designated as the "Florida Arts Trail."

1 (2) The Department of Transportation is directed to
2 erect suitable markers designating "Florida Arts Trail" as
3 described in subsection (1).
4 Section 11. The effect of each designation contained
5 in this act shall only be construed to require the placement
6 of a marker by the Department of Transportation at the termini
7 specified for each highway segment or bridge designated by
8 this act, and as authority for the department to place other
9 markers as appropriate for the transportation facility being
10 designated. These designations are for honorary or memorial
11 purposes or to distinguish a particular facility, and shall
12 not be construed to require any action by a local government
13 or private party regarding the changing of any street signs,
14 mailing address, or emergency telephone number 911 system
15 listing.
16 Section 12. (1) The University of Florida Southwest
17 Florida Research and Education Center, Institute of Food and
18 Agriculture Services Building, 2686 State Road 29 North,
19 Immokalee, is designated as the "Dr. Paul H. Everett
20 Building," in recognition of Dr. Everett's invaluable research
21 for 28 years directed toward the development of efficient and
22 economical production of vegetable crops such as the tomato,
23 bell pepper, watermelon, cantaloupe, and cucumber.
24 (2) The University of Florida is authorized to erect
25 suitable markers designating the "Dr. Paul H. Everett
26 Building" as described in subsection (1).
27 Section 13. This act shall take effect upon becoming a
28 law.
