17 Section 27. For the 1998-1999 fiscal year, there is
18 hereby appropriated from the initial payment of $550 million
19 awarded to the state from settlement State of Florida v.
20 American Tobacco Co., Case No. 95-1466AH, in the Circuit Court
21 for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, in and for Palm Beach
22 County, Florida, $50 million to the Department of Education to
23 be distributed to school districts for the placement of a
24 licensed practical nurse at each elementary school for the
25 maximum number of school hours within this appropriation.
