13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 43, line 26 of the bill

15

16  insert:

17         Section 27.  For the 1998-1999 fiscal year, there is

18  hereby appropriated from the initial payment of $550 million

19  awarded to the state from settlement of State of Florida v.

20  American Tobacco Co., Case No. 95-1466AH, in the Circuit Court

21  for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit, in and for Palm Beach

22  County, Florida, $11.3 million to the Department of Education

23  to be used for the continuance of Full Service

24  Schools/Interagency cooperation projects.  For 1998-1999, the

25  minimum amount for each school district shall be $40,000.

26  After determination of the funds needed to provide the minimum

27  amount, the remaining funds shall be allocated by prorating

28  the total on each district's share of the state total K-12

29  unweighted FTE student enrollment.
