11  The Committee on Community Affairs offered the following:

13         Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 3, lines 15 & 16, of the bill,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

16

17  and insert in lieu thereof:

18         Section 5.  This act shall take effect as provided by

19  law, except that the extension and enlargement of the

20  corporate limits of the Town of Davie as provided herein shall

21  become effective only upon the adoption by the Town Council of

22  the Town of Davie of a resolution prior to October 1, 1998,

23  finding and determining that the terms and conditions of the

24  agreement executed between the Town of Davie and the owner of

25  the property relating to the annexation of the property have

26  been met. Failure of the Town of Davie to adopt a resolution

27  as described in this section prior to October 1, 1998, shall

28  cause the annexation of the property to be null and void and

29  of no force and effect and this act shall be null and void.
