13         Amendment 

14         On page 5, between lines 9 and 10,

16  insert:  If a student participating in the healthy opportunity

17  for school readiness voucher program is measured as not ready

18  to start school by February of the year in which they will

19  enter first grade, the participating private school shall pay

20  to the school district an amount equal to the total amount of

21  the school voucher paid for that child.  The school district

22  shall use these funds for first grade remediation programs.
