11  Senator Sullivan moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 1, line 24, through

15            page 2, line 2, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 1.  The State Attorney RICO Trust Fund within

19  Justice Administration, which is to be terminated pursuant to

20  Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on

21  November 4, 2000, is re-created.

22         Section 2.  All current balances of the State Attorney

23  RICO Trust Fund within Justice Administration are carried

24  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

25  are continued.

 1  and insert:

 2         State Attorney RICO Trust Fund within Justice

 3         Administration without modification; carrying

 4         forward current balances and continuing current

 5         sources and uses thereof; providing an

 6         effective date.

 7

 8         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

 9  the State Attorney RICO Trust Fund within Justice

10  Administration, which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated

11  pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

12         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State

13  Attorney RICO Trust Fund within Justice Administration before

14  its scheduled termination date and has found that it continues

15  to meet an important public purpose, and

16         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

17  policy concerning the State Attorney RICO Trust Fund within

18  Justice Administrative sets adequate parameters for its use,

19  NOW, THEREFORE,
