11  Senator Sullivan moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 1, lines 24-31, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

17         Section 1.  The Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within

18  Justice Administration, which is to be terminated pursuant to

19  Section 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on

20  November 4, 2000, is re-created.

21         Section 2.  All current balances of the Consumer Frauds

22  Trust Fund within Justice Administration are carried forward,

23  and all current sources and uses of the trust fund are

24  continued.

 1         Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within Justice

 2         Administration without modification; carrying

 3         forward current balances and continuing current

 4         sources and uses thereof; providing an

 5         effective date.

 6

 7         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

 8  the Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within Justice Administration,

 9  which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

10  constitutional mandate, and

11         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Consumer

12  Frauds Trust Fund within Justice Administration before its

13  scheduled termination date and has found that it continues to

14  meet an important public purpose, and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

16  policy concerning the Consumer Frauds Trust Fund within

17  Justice Administration sets adequate parameters for its use,

18  NOW, THEREFORE,
