11  Senator Sullivan moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 1, line 28, through

15            page 2, line 7, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         Section 1.  The State Attorney's Forfeiture and

19  Investigative Support Trust Fund within Justice

20  Administration, which is to be terminated pursuant to Section

21  19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,

22  2000, is re-created.

23         Section 2.  All current balances of the State

24  Attorney's Forfeiture and Investigative Support Trust Fund

25  within Justice Administration are carried forward, and all

26  current sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

 1  and insert:

 2         State Attorney's Forfeiture and Investigative

 3         Support Trust Fund within Justice

 4         Administration without modification; carrying

 5         forward current balances and continuing current

 6         sources and uses thereof; providing an

 7         effective date.

 8

 9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the State Attorney's Forfeiture and Investigative Support

11  Trust Fund within Justice Administration, which is otherwise

12  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

13  and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the State

15  Attorney's Forfeiture and Investigative Support Trust Fund

16  within Justice Administration before its scheduled termination

17  date and has found that it continues to meet an important

18  public purpose, and

19         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

20  policy concerning the State Attorney's Forfeiture and

21  Investigative Support Trust Fund within Justice Administration

22  sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
