  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Grants and Donations Trust Fund within the

  4         Department of Juvenile Justice without

  5         modification; carrying forward current balances

  6         and continuing current sources and uses

  7         thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Grants and Donations Trust Fund within the Department of

11  Juvenile Justice, which is otherwise scheduled to be

12  terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Grants and

14  Donations Trust Fund within the Department of Juvenile Justice

15  before its scheduled termination date and has found that it

16  continues to meet an important public purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the Grants and Donations Trust Fund within

19  the Department of Juvenile Justice sets adequate parameters

20  for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

23

24         Section 1.  The Grants and Donations Trust Fund within

25  the Department of Juvenile Justice, SAMAS number 802339, which

26  is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of

27  the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

28         Section 2.  All current balances of the Grants and

29  Donations Trust Fund within the Department of Juvenile Justice

30  are carried forward, and all current sources and uses of the

31  trust fund are continued.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  2  2000.
