  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Social Services Block Grant Trust Fund within

  4         the Department of Juvenile Justice without

  5         modification; carrying forward current balances

  6         and continuing current sources and uses

  7         thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Social Services Block Grant Trust Fund within the

11  Department of Juvenile Justice, which is otherwise scheduled

12  to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and

13         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Social

14  Services Block Grant Trust Fund within the Department of

15  Juvenile Justice before its scheduled termination date and has

16  found that it continues to meet an important public purpose,

17  and

18         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

19  policy concerning the Social Services Block Grant Trust Fund

20  within the Department of Juvenile Justice sets adequate

21  parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22

23  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24

25         Section 1.  The Social Services Block Grant Trust Fund

26  within the Department of Juvenile Justice, SAMAS number

27  802639, which is to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f),

28  Article III of the State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is

29  re-created.

30         Section 2.  All current balances of the Social Services

31  Block Grant Trust Fund within the Department of Juvenile

  1  Justice are carried forward, and all current sources and uses

  2  of the trust fund are continued.

  3         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  4  2000.
