2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Forfeiture and Investigative Support Trust Fund
4 within the Department of Law Enforcement
5 without modification; carrying forward current
6 balances and continuing current sources and
7 uses thereof; providing an effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Forfeiture and Investigative Support Trust Fund within the
11 Department of Law Enforcement, which is otherwise scheduled to
12 be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Forfeiture
14 and Investigative Support Trust Fund within the Department of
15 Law Enforcement before its scheduled termination date and has
16 found that it continues to meet an important public purpose,
17 and
18 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
19 policy concerning the Forfeiture and Investigative Support
20 Trust Fund within the Department of Law Enforcement sets
21 adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,
22
23 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:
24
25 Section 1. The Forfeiture and Investigative Support
26 Trust Fund within the Department of Law Enforcement, SAMAS
27 number 712316, which is to be terminated pursuant to Section
28 19(f), Article III of the State Constitution on November 4,
29 2000, is re-created.
30 Section 2. All current balances of the Forfeiture and
31 Investigative Support Trust Fund within the Department of Law

1 Enforcement are carried forward, and all current sources and
2 uses of the trust fund are continued.
3 Section 3. This act shall take effect November 4,
4 2000.
