1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Operating Trust Fund within the Department of
4 Law Enforcement without modification; carrying
5 forward current balances and continuing current
6 sources and uses thereof; providing an
7 effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Operating Trust Fund within the Department of Law
11 Enforcement, which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated
12 pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Operating
14 Trust Fund within the Department of Law Enforcement before its
15 scheduled termination date and has found that it continues to
16 meet an important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
18 policy concerning the Operating Trust Fund within the
19 Department of Law Enforcement sets adequate parameters for its
20 use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24 Section 1. The Operating Trust Fund within the
25 Department of Law Enforcement, SAMAS number 712510, which is
26 to be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the
27 State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.
28 Section 2. All current balances of the Operating Trust
29 Fund within the Department of Law Enforcement are carried
30 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
31 are continued.
