  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute

  4         Revolving Trust Fund within the Department of

  5         Legal Affairs without modification; carrying

  6         forward current balances and continuing current

  7         sources and uses thereof; providing an

  8         effective date.

10         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

11  the Florida Crime Prevention Training Institute Revolving

12  Trust Fund within the Department of Legal Affairs, which is

13  otherwise scheduled to be terminated pursuant to

14  constitutional mandate, and

15         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Florida Crime

16  Prevention Training Institute Revolving Trust Fund within the

17  Department of Legal Affairs before its scheduled termination

18  date and has found that it continues to meet an important

19  public purpose, and

20         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

21  policy concerning the Florida Crime Prevention Training

22  Institute Revolving Trust Fund within the Department of Legal

23  Affairs sets adequate parameters for its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

24

25  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

26

27         Section 1.  The Florida Crime Prevention Training

28  Institute Revolving Trust Fund within the Department of Legal

29  Affairs, SAMAS number 412302, which is to be terminated

30  pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

31  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  1         Section 2.  All current balances of the Florida Crime

  2  Prevention Training Institute Revolving Trust Fund within the

  3  Department of Legal Affairs are carried forward, and all

  4  current sources and uses of the trust fund are continued.

  5         Section 3.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  6  2000.
