1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the
3 Legal Services Trust Fund within the Department
4 of Legal Affairs without modification; carrying
5 forward current balances and continuing current
6 sources and uses thereof; providing an
7 effective date.

9 WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of
10 the Legal Services Trust Fund within the Department of Legal
11 Affairs, which is otherwise scheduled to be terminated
12 pursuant to constitutional mandate, and
13 WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the Legal
14 Services Trust Fund within the Department of Legal Affairs
15 before its scheduled termination date and has found that it
16 continues to meet an important public purpose, and
17 WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public
18 policy concerning the Legal Services Trust Fund within the
19 Department of Legal Affairs sets adequate parameters for its
20 use, NOW, THEREFORE,

22 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

24 Section 1. The Legal Services Trust Fund within the
25 Department of Legal Affairs, SAMAS number 412438, which is to
26 be terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the
27 State Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.
28 Section 2. All current balances of the Legal Services
29 Trust Fund within the Department of Legal Affairs are carried
30 forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund
31 are continued.
