11  Senators Myers and Klein moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 10, lines 4-24, delete those lines

15

16  and insert:

18  The agency shall develop rules to establish policies by which

19  exceptions to the mandatory managed care enrollment

20  requirement may be made on a case-by-case basis. The rules

21  shall include the specific criteria to be applied when making

22  a determination as to whether to exempt a recipient from

23  mandatory enrollment in a managed care plan or MediPass.

24  School districts participating in the certified school match

25  program pursuant to ss. 236.0812 and 409.908(21) shall be

26  reimbursed by Medicaid, subject to the limitations of s.

27  236.0812(1) and (2), for a Medicaid-eligible child

28  participating in the services as authorized in s. 236.0812, as

29  provided for in s. 409.9071, regardless of whether the child

30  is enrolled in MediPass or a managed care plan. Managed care

31  plans shall make a good faith effort to execute agreements

 1  with school districts and county health departments regarding

 2  the coordinated provision of services authorized under s.

 3  236.0812. County health departments delivering school-based

 4  services pursuant to ss. 381.0056 and 381.0057 shall be

 5  reimbursed by Medicaid, subject to s. 409.908(19), for a

 6  Medicaid-eligible child participating in the services as

 7  authorized in s. 381.0056 and 381.0057, regardless of whether

 8  the child is enrolled in MediPass or a managed care plan.

 9  Managed care plans shall make a good faith effort to execute

10  agreements with county health departments regarding the

11  coordinated provision of services authorized under ss.

12  381.0056 and 381.0057. To ensure continuity of care for

13  Medicaid patients, the agency, the Department of Health, and

14  the Department of Education shall develop procedures for

15  ensuring that a student's managed care plan or MediPass

16  provider receives information relating to services provided in

17  accordance with ss. 236.0812, 381.0056, 381.0057, and

18  409.9071.
