11  The Committee on Health Care recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 3, line 12, delete that line

16

17  and insert:  that amount, and

18         WHEREAS, on August 28, 1997, the parties reached an

19  agreement wherein West Volusia Memorial Hospital agreed to pay

20  $1,972,540, provided that the Legislature approve that amount,

21  to Kathy Jones, individually and for the benefit of Michelle

22  Jones, a minor, and that all funds in excess of attorney's

23  fees, liens, costs, and a $32,000 mortgage note satisfaction

24  on the residence of Michelle Jones, a minor, be the basis of a

25  Special Needs Trust for the benefit of Michelle Jones, a

26  Minor, NOW, THEREFORE,
