  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to Palm Beach County;

  3         abolishing the Town of Golfview subject to

  4         certain conditions and revoking the charter;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  That as provided in s. 165.061(3), F.S.,

10  the Town of Golfview is not substantially surrounded by other

11  municipalities; Palm Beach County is able to provide necessary

12  services to the municipal area proposed for dissolution;

13  Golfview has no bonded indebtedness or vested rights of

14  employees; title to all Town of Golfview property shall be

15  transferred to Palm Beach County as provided in the

16  dissolution plan of the town.

17         Section 2.  That the Town of Golfview shall be

18  abolished and the Charter of the Town of Golfview, Chapter

19  18550, Laws of Florida, 1937, as amended by chapters 57-1340

20  and 59-1312, Laws of Florida, shall be revoked upon the

21  recording of an affidavit of the Town Clerk of Golfview in the

22  official records of Palm Beach County, that all town

23  residential property owners contractually entitled to

24  compensation by Palm Beach County have been paid, and titles

25  have been transferred to Palm Beach County.

26         Section 3.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

27  law.
