12  the following amendment:

14         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

15         On page 59, between lines 16 and 17,

16

17  insert:

18         Section 24.  Enterprise Florida, Inc., shall prepare a

19  strategic plan designed to allow Florida to capitalize on the

20  economic opportunities associated with the Caribbean nations

21  and South Africa. The plan should recognize the historical and

22  cultural ties between this state and such areas and should

23  focus on building a long-term economic relationship between

24  these communities. The plan should also recognize existing

25  economic infrastructure in Florida that could be applied

26  toward trade and other business activities with the Caribbean

27  and South Africa. In developing this plan, Enterprise Florida,

28  Inc., shall solicit the participation and input of individuals

29  who have expertise on these areas and their economies,

30  including, but not limited to, business leaders in Florida who

31  have had previous business experience in these areas. The plan

 2  to implement the strategic plan. The plan must be submitted to
