2 An act relating to military affairs; amending
3 s. 250.40, F.S.; providing for the disposition
4 of moneys derived from the rental of billeting
5 operations at Camp Blanding Training Site;

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Paragraph (a) of subsection (6) of section
11 250.40, Florida Statutes, is amended to read:
12 250.40 Armory Board; armories, how obtained.--
13 (6) In order to provide for the cooperative support of
14 the National Guard, and in order that armories may be provided
15 which will furnish suitable training facilities and adequate
16 storage accommodations for all arms, equipment, and other
17 military property, the Armory Board is authorized to receive,
18 from counties, municipalities, and other sources, donations of
19 land and contributions of money to aid in providing,
20 improving, and maintaining arsenals, armories, campsites,
21 target ranges, and other facilities throughout the state.
22 (a)1. Any contributions of money so donated, any
23 moneys derived from the rental of armories and other
24 facilities, any moneys derived from the rental of billeting
25 operations at Camp Blanding Training Site, the maintenance
26 allowances provided in s. 250.20, and all sums of money
27 collected through fines imposed by a general, special, or
28 summary court of the Florida National Guard, as provided in s.
29 250.36(5), shall be received by the commanding officer of such
30 facility and shall be deposited in an account in a banking
31 institution in the county in which such facility is located.

1 2. The funds so received shall be disbursed for the
2 purposes enumerated in this subsection at the discretion of
3 the post council according to rules and regulations
4 established by the Armory Board. The post council shall be
5 made up of such members as are designated in the rules and
6 regulations of the Armory Board; and the council is authorized
7 to employ personnel to perform such functions as bookkeeping,
8 maintenance, and janitorial services.
9 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997.

Provides that any moneys derived from the rental of
14 billeting operations at Camp Blanding Training Site shall
be received by the commanding officer of the facility and
15 shall be deposited in an account in a banking institution
in the county in which the facility is located.
