  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056, 320.08058, F.S.; creating a Florida

  4         Sheriffs Youth Ranches license plate; providing

  5         for the distribution of annual use fees

  6         received from the sale of such plates;

  7         providing a contingent effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (t) is added to subsection (4) of

12  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (t)  Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches license plate, $20.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (20) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (20)  FLORIDA SHERIFFS YOUTH RANCHES LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  The department shall develop a Florida Sheriffs

22  Youth Ranches license plate as provided in this section. The

23  word "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, and the

24  words "Sponsored by the Florida Sheriffs Association" must

25  appear at the bottom of the plate. The Florida Sheriffs Youth

26  Ranches logo must appear on the left quarter of the plate,

27  surrounded by the words "Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches" and

28  the words "Preventing delinquency since 1957" must appear

29  below the numerals on the plate.

30         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to the

31  Florida Sheriffs Youth Ranches, Inc., for its operations.

  1         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1998,

  2  but it shall not take effect unless it is enacted by at least

  3  a three-fifths vote of the membership of each house of the

  4  Legislature.
