13         Senate Amendment 

14         On page 24, between lines 21 and 22,

16  insert:

17         (3)  Notwithstanding any other provision of law, a

18  company that is not a rental company pursuant to subsection

19  (2) that lends, rents, or leases a motor vehicle in the

20  ordinary course of its business to an unaffiliated company for

21  commercial activity shall not be liable for damages to a third

22  party greater than $100,000 per person and $300,000 per

23  occurrence for bodily injury and $50,000 for property damage

24  due to the operation of the motor vehicle by a person employed

25  by the company to which the motor vehicle is lent, rented, or

26  leased without a showing of negligence or intentional

27  misconduct on the part of the company providing the motor

28  vehicle to the unaffiliated company.
