2 A resolution honoring Walt Disney World upon
3 the happy occasion of their 25th Anniversary.

5 WHEREAS, tourism is the largest industry in the State
6 of Florida, employing more than 732,000 people and generating
7 in excess of $35 billion in annual revenues, and
8 WHEREAS, tourism is a crucial part of the state's
9 economy, with over $2.1 billion generated in sales and resort
10 taxes, and
11 WHEREAS, more than 43 million visitors come to Florida,
12 generating significant economic impact, and
13 WHEREAS, Walt Disney World has led the way in tourism
14 growth and subsequent development since the opening of the
15 Magic Kingdom in 1971 and is a significant reason for the
16 growth in tourism in the Central Florida region, and
17 WHEREAS, Walt Disney World brings joy and happiness to
18 people all around the world, and contributes to the needs of
19 the community through educational, environmental, and children
20 and family programs, and
21 WHEREAS, Walt Disney World is sharing its 25th
22 Anniversary in a year-long celebration with the people of
23 Florida, NOW, THEREFORE,

25 Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of
26 Florida:

28 That the House of Representatives of the State of
29 Florida, pause in its deliberations to honor and celebrate
30 Walt Disney World's 25th Anniversary and to express its
