1 A bill to be entitled
2 An act relating to expenditure requirements for
3 education programs; amending s. 237.34, F.S.;
4 providing restrictions on the allocation of
5 funds appropriated for advanced placement
6 instruction; providing an effective date.

8 Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

10 Section 1. Present paragraph (c) of subsection (3) of
11 section 237.34, Florida Statutes, is redesignated as paragraph
12 (d), and a new paragraph (c) is added to that subsection, to
13 read:
14 237.34 Cost accounting and reporting.--
15 (3) PROGRAM EXPENDITURE REQUIREMENTS.--
16 (c) At least 80 percent of the funds appropriated for
17 advanced placement instruction in accordance with s.
18 236.081(1)(a) must be allocated to the high school that
19 generates the funds.
20 Section 2. This act shall take effect July 1, 1997.

23 SENATE SUMMARY
24 Provides that a minimum of 80 percent of the funds
appropriated for advanced placement instruction in
25 accordance with s. 236.081(1)(a), F.S., must be allocated
to the high school that generates the funds.
