  1                         House Resolution

  2         A resolution commending the Carol City High

  3         School football team for winning the 1997 Class

  4         6A state championship title.

  6         WHEREAS, on December 21, 1996, under the leadership of

  7  Coach Walt Frazier, the Carol City High School Chiefs won the

  8  Class 6A state championship in a 21-7 victory over the Tampa

  9  Hillsborough Terriers at Daytona Municipal Stadium, and

10         WHEREAS, this marked the Chiefs' second state

11  championship in football and the twelfth overall for Carol

12  City High, and

13         WHEREAS, in 38-degree weather, the low-key, disciplined

14  Chiefs, with a 14-1 record, handed Coach Frazier his first

15  state championship title in football, NOW, THEREFORE,

17  Be It Resolved by the House of Representatives of the State of

18  Florida:

20         That the House of Representatives hereby commends the

21  Carol City High School Chiefs for winning the 1997 Class 6A

22  state football championship title.

23         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution

24  be presented to Coach Walt Frazier as a tangible token of the

25  sentiments expressed herein.
