  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to road designation;

  3         designating a portion of Highway 20 lying west

  4         of the Apalachicola River Bridge in Calhoun

  5         County to the Bay County line on the west as

  6         the "Fuller Warren Parkway"; directing the

  7         Department of Transportation to erect suitable

  8         markers; providing an effective date.

10         WHEREAS, Fuller Warren, a Calhoun County native, served

11  with distinction as Governor of the State of Florida from

12  1949-1953, and

13         WHEREAS, Governor Fuller Warren epitomized all that is

14  and was great in Florida and Calhoun County, and

15         WHEREAS, Fuller Warren's legacy to the State of Florida

16  and Calhoun County is marked by respect, dignity, courage, and

17  a deep-founded belief in the worth of all people, and

18         WHEREAS, Governor Warren was a great leader and

19  statesman, NOW, THEREFORE,

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  (1)  That portion of Highway 20 lying west

24  of the Apalachicola River Bridge in Calhoun County to the Bay

25  County line on the west is designated as the "Fuller Warren

26  Parkway."

27         (2)  The Department of Transportation is directed to

28  erect suitable markers designating the "Fuller Warren

29  Parkway."

30         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

31  law.
