  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Town of Davie, Broward

  3         County; providing for the calculation of the

  4         population census of the Town of Davie;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Notwithstanding the provisions of ss.

10  186.901 and 218.26, Florida Statutes, to the contrary, for all

11  purposes under state law, the calculation of the total

12  population census of the Town of Davie, beginning with fiscal

13  year 1998-1999, shall include all of the new residents added

14  to the town as a result of the enactment of chapters 98-509,

15  98-510, 98-511, and 98-513, Laws of Florida.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

17  law.
