  1                    Senate Resolution No.     

  2         A resolution commending Niceville High School

  3         senior Michael Rizk for his accomplishments in

  4         making a perfect score on the American College

  5         Test.

  7         WHEREAS, Michael Rizk is a 17-year-old senior at

  8  Niceville High School, who carries a 4.75 weighted grade point

  9  average and is involved in the Math Club, Fellowship of

10  Christian Athletes, Honor Society, and Debate, and

11         WHEREAS, on June 13, 1998, approximately 15,500 Florida

12  students and 354,000 students across the nation completed the

13  ACT college entrance exam, and

14         WHEREAS, Michael Rizk was the only student in Florida

15  and one of only 23 in the entire United States to achieve a

16  perfect score on the ACT college entrance examination, and

17         WHEREAS, it is fitting and appropriate that the Senate

18  of the State of Florida take time out to recognize Michael

19  Rizk for this exceptional achievement, NOW, THEREFORE,

20

21  Be It Resolved by the Senate of the State of Florida:

22

23         That the Florida Senate commends Michael Rizk for his

24  accomplishments in achieving a perfect score on the ACT

25  college entrance examination and wishes him great success in

26  his chosen field of engineering.

27         BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that a copy of this resolution,

28  with the Seal of the Senate affixed, be presented to Michael

29  Rizk as a tangible token of the sentiments of the Florida

30  Senate.
