13         Substitute Amendment for Amendment (223043) (with title

14  amendment) 

15         On page 1, line 9 through page 2, line 2

16  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

18  and insert in lieu thereof:

19         WHEREAS, over 100 Florida Families have lost their

20  homes due to wildfires;

21         WHEREAS, wildfires have affected every region of

22  Florida from Bay to Monroe county;

23         WHEREAS, over 130,000 acres of Florida land has burned;

24         WHEREAS, ten Division of Forestry firefighters have

25  been injured as a result of battling wildfires;

26         WHEREAS, the emotional, physical, and economic toll on

27  Floridians is immeasurable,

28         WHEREAS, we the Florida legislature wish to provide

29  every available assistance that those who have been victims of

30  wildfires,

31         Therefore;

 1         Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of

 2  Florida.

 3         Section 1.    Any sales tax collected from membership

 4  or private equity clubs for fees or dues for the use of

 5  facilities owned or operated by such clubs shall be directed

 6  to families that are uninsured or underinsured who have lost

 7  property related to damages from wildfires to their residence

 8  or business.
