  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to urban development; creating

  3         the "Front Porch Florida Act"; expressing the

  4         legislative intent to advance an urban policy

  5         designed to help communities rebuild their

  6         neighborhoods; providing an effective date.

  8  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  9

10         Section 1.  (1)  This act may be cited as the "Front

11  Porch Florida Act."

12         (2)  It is the intent of the Legislature to advance an

13  urban policy that will release the power of local communities

14  in Florida's urban cores to rebuild their neighborhoods

15  through a redevelopment process that is neighborhood

16  asset-based, community-focused, and relationship-driven.

17         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

18  law.
