  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to condominiums; amending s.

  3         718.105, F.S.; requiring the filing of a

  4         certificate attesting to the payment of certain

  5         taxes with the county tax collector upon the

  6         filing of condominium declarations or upon a

  7         change in ownership of the condominium;

  8         providing an effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  Subsection (5) is added to section 718.105,

13  Florida Statutes, to read:

14         718.105  Recording of declaration.--

15         (5)  When a declaration of condominium is recorded

16  pursuant to this section or when the condominium changes

17  ownership, a certificate showing that all state, county, and

18  municipal taxes have been paid must be filed with the county

19  tax collector in the same manner as such certificates are

20  required under chapter 177, relating to the recordation of

21  plats.

22         Section 2.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999.
