14 On page 1, lines 12-20, delete those lines

16 and insert:
17 790.24 Report of medical treatment of certain injuries
18 gunshot wounds; penalty for failure to report.--Any physician,
19 nurse, or employee thereof and any employee of a hospital,
20 sanitarium, clinic, or nursing home knowingly treating any
21 person suffering from a gunshot wound or life-threatening
22 injuries other wound indicating an act of violence, or
23 receiving a request for such treatment, shall report the same
24 immediately to the sheriff's department of the county in which
25 said treatment is administered or request therefor received.
26 This section does not affect any requirement that a person has
27 to report abuse pursuant to chapter 39 or chapter 415. Any
28 such person
