14 On page 2, between lines 12 and 13,

16 insert:
17 Section 1. Section 47.025, Florida Statutes, is
18 created to read:
19 47.025 Actions against contractors.--Any venue
20 provision in a contract for improvement to real property which
21 requires legal action involving a resident contractor,
22 subcontractor, sub-subcontractor, or materialman, as defined
23 in s. 713.01, to be brought outside this state is void as a
24 matter of public policy. To the extent that the venue
25 provision in the contract is void under this section, any
26 legal action arising out of that contract shall be brought
27 only in this state in the county where the defendant resides,
28 where the cause of action accrued, or where the property in
29 litigation is located, unless, after the dispute arises, the
30 parties stipulate to another venue.
