11  Senator Bronson moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 11, between lines 4 and 5,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 7.  Notwithstanding subsection 20.255(2),

18  Florida Statutes, the Secretary of the Department of

19  Environmental Protection is authorized to restructure and

20  reorganize the department within the current statutory

21  prescribed divisions and in compliance with s. 216.292(4),

22  F.S., 1998 Supplement, to increase efficiency in carrying out

23  the agency's statutory mission and objectives. The Secretary

24  shall report to the Governor, the President of the Senate, and

25  the Speaker of the House of Representatives no later than

26  December 1999 on the department's organizational structure and

27  provide statutory changes needed to accomplish the new

28  structure.
