11  The Committee on Fiscal Resource recommended the following

12  amendment:

14         Senate Amendment 

15         On page 2, lines 4 - 11, delete those lines

16

17  and insert:

18         2.  The indexed tax imposed by this paragraph shall not

19  apply to manufactured asphalt which is used for any state or

20  local government public works project as follows:

21         a.  Beginning July 1, 1999, 20 percent of such amount

22  is exempt.
