  2         An act relating to trust funds; re-creating the

  3         Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration Trust Fund

  4         within the Department of Banking and Finance

  5         without modification; carrying forward current

  6         balances and continuing current sources and

  7         uses thereof; providing an effective date.

  8

  9         WHEREAS, the Legislature wishes to extend the life of

10  the Miscellaneous Deduction Restoration Trust Fund within the

11  Department of Banking and Finance, which is otherwise

12  scheduled to be terminated pursuant to constitutional mandate,

13  and

14         WHEREAS, the Legislature has reviewed the trust fund

15  before its scheduled termination date and has found that it

16  continues to meet an important public purpose, and

17         WHEREAS, the Legislature has found that existing public

18  policy concerning the trust fund sets adequate parameters for

19  its use, NOW, THEREFORE,

21  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

22

23         Section 1.  (1)  The Miscellaneous Deduction

24  Restoration Trust Fund, FLAIR number 44-2-577, which was

25  approved for the Department of Banking and Finance by the

26  Administration Commission pursuant to its prior authority

27  under section 215.32, Florida Statutes, and which is to be

28  terminated pursuant to Section 19(f), Article III of the State

29  Constitution on November 4, 2000, is re-created.

  1         (2)  All current balances of the trust fund are carried

  2  forward, and all current sources and uses of the trust fund

  3  are continued.

  4         Section 2.  This act shall take effect November 4,

  5  2000.
