13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 5, between lines 2 and 3,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 5.  Paragraph (c) is added to subsection (3) of

18  section 234.021, Florida Statutes, to read:

19         234.021  Hazardous walking conditions.--

20         (3)  CRITERIA FOR DETERMINING HAZARDOUS WALKING

21  CONDITIONS.--

22         (c)Walking on an overpass which crosses over an

23  interstate highway.--It shall be considered hazardous walking

24  conditions with respect to any vehicle overpass which crosses

25  over an interstate highway which students must walk in order

26  to travel to and from school.

27         1.  This provision shall apply regardless of the

28  existence of a walkway, unless a concrete barrier separates

29  the walkway from parallel traffic; and

30         2.  Students do not have to cross at an interstate on

31  or off-ramp.
