11  Senator Hargrett moved the following amendment:

13         Senate Amendment (with title amendment) 

14         On page 8, between lines 20 and 21,

15

16  insert:

17         Section 7.  Present subsections (2), (3), (4), (5),

18  (6), (7), (8), and (9) of section 316.1895, Florida Statutes,

19  are redesignated as subsections (3), (4), (5), (6), (7), (8),

20  (9), and (10), respectively, and a new subsection (2) is added

21  to that section to read:

22         316.1895  Establishment of school speed zones,

23  enforcement; designation.--

24         (2)  Upon request from the appropriate local

25  government, the Department of Transportation shall install and

26  maintain such traffic and pedestrian control devices on

27  state-maintained roads as prescribed in this section for all

28  prekindergarten early-intervention schools that receive

29  federal funding through the Headstart program.
