  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act expressing the legislative intent to

  3         create the Front Porch Florida Program;

  4         providing an effective date.

  6  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  7

  8         Section 1.  The Legislature intends to create the Front

  9  Porch Florida Program promoting the revitalization of selected

10  urban-core communities. Each of these communities will prepare

11  a neighborhood action plan which defines problems specific to

12  its community and identify and target state and local

13  government resources to address these problems. In addition a

14  package of financial and other incentives will be made

15  available to these communities.

16         Section 2.  This act shall take effect January 1, 2000.
