13         Amendment 

14         On page 1, lines 19-25,

15  remove from the bill:  all of said lines

16

17  and insert in lieu thereof:  maintenance of roadside

18  beautification programs. To accomplish this, the department

19  shall allocate no less than one and one half percent of its

20  total project budget to beautification. Only large plant

21  materials purchased from Florida-based nurserymen stock on a

22  uniform competitive bid basis will be used, except where

23  prohibited by Federal law or regulations. Up to .5 percent may

24  be used for small to medium plant material. The department

25  will develop grades and standards for landscaping materials

26  purchased through this process. To accomplish these
