  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to the Secretary of State;

  3         creating s. 15.051, F.S.; designating the

  4         Florida Scrub Jay as the official state bird;

  5         providing an effective date.

  7  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

  8

  9         Section 1.  Section 15.051, Florida Statutes, is

10  created to read:

11         15.051  Official state bird.--The Florida Scrub Jay

12  (Aphelocoma coerulescens) is designated the official Florida

13  state bird.

14         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

15  law.
