  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to license plates; amending ss.

  3         320.08056, 320.08058, F.S.; creating a Florida

  4         Memorial College license plate; providing for

  5         the distribution of annual use fees received

  6         from the sale of such plates; providing a

  7         contingent effective date.

  9  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

11         Section 1.  Paragraph (z) is added to subsection (4) of

12  section 320.08056, Florida Statutes, 1998 Supplement, to read:

13         320.08056  Specialty license plates.--

14         (4)  The following license plate annual use fees shall

15  be collected for the appropriate specialty license plates:

16         (z)  Florida Memorial College license plate $25.

17         Section 2.  Subsection (26) is added to section

18  320.08058, Florida Statutes, 1998 Supplement, to read:

19         320.08058  Specialty license plates.--

20         (26)  FLORIDA MEMORIAL COLLEGE LICENSE PLATES.--

21         (a)  The department shall develop a Florida Memorial

22  College license plate as provided in this section. The word

23  "Florida" must appear at the top of the plate, and the words

24  "Florida Memorial College" must appear at the bottom of the

25  plate.

26         (b)  The annual use fees shall be distributed to

27  Florida Memorial College.

28         Section 3.  This act shall take effect July 1, 1999,

29  but it shall not take effect unless it is enacted by at least

30  a three-fifths vote of the membership of each house of the

31  Legislature.
