  1                      A bill to be entitled

  2         An act relating to digital communications and

  3         high-definition television; creating the "21st

  4         Century Digital Communication and Education

  5         Act"; expressing legislative intent to create

  6         economic incentives, educational opportunities,

  7         and the necessary workforce; providing an

  8         effective date.

10  Be It Enacted by the Legislature of the State of Florida:

12         Section 1.  (1)  This section may be cited as the "21st

13  Century Digital Communication and Education Act."

14         (2)  It is the intent of the Legislature to create the

15  economic incentives, educational opportunities, and workforce

16  necessary to make Florida a leader in the production,

17  transmission, manufacturing, research and development of

18  digital communication and high-definition television.

19         Section 2.  This act shall take effect upon becoming a

20  law.
